{"id":24,"date":"2018-02-21T22:10:36","date_gmt":"2018-02-21T22:10:36","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2023-11-27T07:20:50","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T07:20:50","slug":"alternate-reality-x-0-83-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/landbeyond.net\/wordpress\/2018\/02\/21\/alternate-reality-x-0-83-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Alternate Reality X 0.83.3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is my first release of Alternate Reality X.\u00a0 This is version 0.83.3.\u00a0\u00a0 I picked this up from Arnic that has been working on this for years to get to this point.\u00a0 It is a great game.\u00a0\u00a0 I found ARX about 3 years ago and tried it for a bit, but I didn&#8217;t find it very playable at that time and game back in 2017.\u00a0 I found it in a very playable state but then I found out that we had personal things going on and was unable to complete the game.\u00a0 So I decided to fix some of the bugs and then that evolved in completing what he started.<\/p>\n<p>My goals are simple, that is to complete The City.\u00a0 There are many things missing from the City.\u00a0\u00a0 Like weather, need for wearing Clothing.\u00a0 Spells, curses, poisons and many other items. Reduced STR by one if was successful.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">* Added<\/span> &#8211; 2 new diseases.\u00a0 Mold and fungus from MOLD, slime.\u00a0 Slime will foul your food once it becomes active.\u00a0 These takes 48hrs before they become active.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">* Added<\/span> &#8211; Sun set and sun rise to 16bit graphics.\u00a0 It is not done by still graphics. Drawn on the screen based on time.\u00a0 that way it moves like a real sun.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">* Fixed<\/span> &#8211; Ghost information was not correct on armour.\u00a0 He is suppose to be invulnerable to blunt, sharp weapons.<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 you need magical weapons for the most part.\u00a0 Fixed that.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">* Fixed<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; put back in the weapon selection for opponent when they attack.\u00a0 Many opponents have different attacks was hard coded to just the first weapon.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">* Fixed<\/span> &#8211; Armour ability to handle different weapons is back into the system.\u00a0 If using a blunt weapon and the armour is invulnerable to blunt.\u00a0 You will not be able to do any damages with that kind of weapon.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">* Fixed<\/span> &#8211; Certain armour is vulnerable to certain weapons, and these weapons cause double damage.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">* Added<\/span> &#8211; Added in 3 missing encounters from binary, Cutthroat, Brigand, Master Thief<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">* Added<\/span> &#8211; Put these encounters into possible city\/dungeon encounters.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">* Added<\/span> &#8211; capture the number of encounters variable from binary.\u00a0 When in the dungeon you can have multiple encounters now, up to the max defined in binary.\u00a0 City still is only allowed 1<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 encounter at a time.\u00a0 The number of encounter is affected by your level, dungeon level. your alignment<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 vs. encounters alignment\u00a0 will increase or decrease your chances for more monsters at once.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">* Added<\/span> &#8211; Started loading in attributes for weapons. Its loads in weapons that causes curses and dieseases.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Not active in the code yet.
